the town square in Setubal, a town around 30miles south of Lisbon. A very pretty place to stop and wander around.

We were at sea for a day after we left Lisbon to reach Lanzarotte. We went to visit a couple of the vinyards. This one cultivates some of its vines in the traditional way with wind breaks and water holes by each plant.
This vine was said to be arund 100 years old !

OUr next stop was the Palmetum, built on the site of a former land fill site in Santa Cruz and clsoe to the harbour.

and finally our first visit to El Ferrol, a naval dockyard toewn, not unlike Portsmouth
lucky they like (English) tourists
in 18th adn 19 centuries the cannons were kept here while the ships were under repair
we fund some inmtersting architecture in some of the older streets
