Cat has a natural flair for teaching, and a strong belief that everyone has the ability to sing, given the chance. In her workshops, she draws from a wide range of traditional and traditional-style songs: from English to Afrian, Aboriginie, Hungarian, Swedish and more. The nature of these songs is such that they can be eaily tailored to suit both beginners and more competant singers - they can be sung simply in unison or overlaid with improvised harmonies and rhythms.
Cat believes in the benefits of mixed ability groups singing together, and effortlessly executes this in her workshops without the participants feeling compromised or pushed beyond their abilities. Every participant is valued and included. Cat has the unique ability to take a group of people who have never met before and encourage them to form bonds and work as a team before they have even realised what's happening!
The workshops are designed with the simple intention of allowing everyone to have fun, while exploring their voice and connecting with others and themselves through song. They are invigorating and inspiring and will leave you feeling exhausted but exhilarated!

Cat has a strong family history of folk dance and has been dancing herself for over 20 years. She was a member of New Esperance Morris for 5 years and is now involved in two other morris sides. Cat also dances (and calls) regularly at ceilidhs up and down the country.
